A netizen on twitter noticed a government website published tips on their myhealthportal on how to be healthier. One of their tips was that if you use the MRT, it is recommended to stop at 1 station before your destination and then walk towards it. As normal Malaysians, we know this would not work at all.
There was a netizen that posted a reply saying that if they stopped at 1 station before their work, they would need to walk about 8km. Most of the journey would have no pavements for pedestrians. Other users mentioned that it would not be safe for female MRT users to follow this as it might be extra dangerous for them.
Other users mentioned that the people in charge of all of this are not in touch with the reality of the common folk. The reality of our country is that it is a car country where infrastructures are built for cars, not for pedestrians and public transportation is a massive inconvenience at times. What are your thoughts on this situation, is the government really out of touch or not?
