JOHOR BAHRU — Johor Barisan Nasional (BN) chairman Datuk Onn Hafiz Ghazi has clarified that his recent statement about refusing to “sit at the same table” with DAP was intended as a figure of speech. He said the remark referred specifically to BN Johor’s stance against forming a state government with DAP, rather than rejecting cooperation altogether.

Hafiz stressed that collaboration between the Johor government and the Federal Government remains important for the benefit of the people. He added that BN Johor’s political approach and ideology differ significantly from DAP’s, making a governing partnership unsuitable.
