After media reports revealed that Noh Omar had joined Bersatu, a prominent Umno leader wasted no time in criticising the former senior minister. Mohd Puad Zarkashi, a member of Umno’s Supreme Council, accused Noh of merely “selling the name” of Najib Razak to justify his move to Bersatu.

Puad emphasised that Noh was not a staunch supporter of Najib and questioned what he could do to defend Najib within Bersatu. Meanwhile, Noh’s decision to join Bersatu has raised eyebrows, especially given his previous roles within Umno and Selangor politics.
