Kuala Lumpur: As expected, PM TS Muhyiddin Yassin is not budging and is digging his heels in against all odds.
While he is facing the biggest crisis during his tenure, the PM seems calm from his fortress in Putrajaya.
Holed up with close advisers in Cabinet and the Attorney General at his residence yesterday, Muhyiddin made clear his reason.
“He is staying. He has done everything in accordance with the Constitution,” says a top government official according to The Straits Times Singapore.
Muhyiddin’s position is that the Constitution obliges the King to act in accordance with the government’s advice.
However, Muhyiddin clearly needed more time to handle the chaotic situation in the Parliament. For that matter, the August house sitting is pushed to Monday, Aug 2.
