The Sarawak General Operations Force (GOF) seized RM1.6 million worth of smuggled goods during a five-day crackdown dubbed Operation Taring, which ran from July 7 to 11.

The operation, involving the 10th and 11th PGA Battalions, resulted in the arrest of nine individuals, including an Indonesian national. Seized items included frozen food, diesel, and unapproved medicines across Bau, Sibu, Lundu, Kota Samarahan, and Kuching.
Key seizures ranged from 18,000 litres of diesel to over 4,000 boxes of illegal medicines. Authorities praised the coordinated efforts and confirmed ongoing investigations into each case.
