The surge of Rohingya refugees in Malaysia is rather a controversial topic among Malaysians. They feel that these individuals are giving problems to the average Malaysians. This debate has sparked again due to a video showing alleged refugees complaining about the free food they are receiving.

However, this sentiment appears to be spreading in Indonesia as well. It is unfortunate for the Rohingya people to be seen as such. A viral video filmed by Instagram page Rakan Aceh shows that they feel the food they receive is not enough. Indonesian X users state that they are ungrateful as well.
Other Indonesians state that these NGOs and governmental organisations should help the Indonesian people first. This is due to them stating that Indonesians are also struggling during these tough times.
