KOTA KINABALU: Sabah Umno and Barisan Nasional (BN) will not cooperate with Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) in the upcoming state election, reaffirming their partnership with Pakatan Harapan (PH). Umno president Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi said the decision was made following a Sabah Umno political bureau meeting on June 27. The move came after seat negotiation talks chaired by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, who stressed avoiding three-cornered fights. While GRS and BN are unlikely to contest seats allocated to PH, clashes between GRS and BN in other constituencies remain possible.
