Malaysia has assured that there are no disruptions in fuel supply nationwide, even as transactions under the Budi Diesel subsidy programme remain below 10%. The Petroleum Dealers Association of Malaysia (PDAM) confirmed that supply levels at petrol stations remain stable and sufficient to meet demand.
Low diesel transactions
Industry players noted that the low transaction rate may reflect targeted usage or limited eligibility under the subsidy scheme rather than weak demand. Authorities continue monitoring supply chains to ensure uninterrupted distribution.
The government emphasised that mechanisms are in place to respond to any sudden spikes in demand. The situation remains under control, with no signs of panic buying or shortages across the country.
