Donald Trump is demanding further assurances over UK steel supply chains before lifting the 25% tariff on British steel exports. While the US has agreed to reduce tariffs on UK car and aerospace exports, steel remains unresolved due to concerns about Tata Steel’s imported raw materials for its Port Talbot plant.
