KUALA LUMPUR — UMNO has received more than 100 applications and appeals from former leaders and members seeking to rejoin the party under the Rumah Bangsa initiative. Among them are former UMNO Youth chief and Health Minister Khairy Jamaluddin, and former Defence Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein.

Other notable names include former Jempol UMNO chief Mohd Salim Sharif and former Tebrau UMNO chief Datuk Maulizan Bujang. Sources said discussions are ongoing to bring back figures such as Shahril Sufian Hamdan, Tan Sri Noh Omar, and Tan Sri Dr Rais Yatim. UMNO’s Supreme Council will decide on April 17.
