SINGAPORE, 24 May — A 21-year-old man, Muhammad Danial Nazirudin, pleaded guilty to cheating after fleeing with a gold chain worth S$6,800. The incident occurred on Nov. 1, 2025, at Block 686A Choa Chu Kang Crescent.

Danial met the 53-year-old seller through an online marketplace, asked to try on the chain, and bolted once it was placed around his neck. He sped off on his motorcycle, but was later involved in an accident and taken to Tan Tock Seng Hospital. Police recovered the chain and arrested him on Nov. 11. Sentencing is scheduled for July 3.
