1 min read

KUALA LUMPUR: The Sessions Court heard that Nexuscorp Group Sdn Bhd was awarded a five-year contract worth RM381mil to maintain the police’s RMPNET system. Human Resources Ministry deputy secretary Azham Bachok testified that the government issued a Letter of Acceptance on Nov 25, 2020, signed by then Home Ministry secretary-general Datuk Wan Ahmad Dahlan Abdul Aziz. The contract covered infrastructure, servers, software and radios from Dec 1, 2020, to Nov 30, 2025. Former political secretary Sayed Amir Muzzakkir faces three corruption charges involving RM350,000 in alleged bribes linked to the award. If convicted, he faces up to 20 years’ jail.
