Damaged Shoes Incident Leads to Plea for Responsible Child Supervision

A store staff member, Nurul Syuhada, is urging parents to monitor their children’s behavior in public spaces after a boy damaged a pair of shoes at the Design Village Outlet Mall in Penang. She shared CCTV footage on TikTok, showing the boy scratching the shoes with his fingernails, leaving noticeable marks.

Despite attempts to polish the scratches, they couldn’t be fully removed, affecting the shoes’ resale value. Nurul emphasized that store merchandise is not for children to play with and suggested bringing kids to playgrounds instead. 

She hopes parents will ensure their children behave responsibly to avoid inconveniencing others.
