New: Foreign National Arrested for Alleged Bribe Attempt During Road Check

A foreign national was arrested after allegedly attempting to bribe a policeman during a roadblock along Jalan Suasa 6 near Sungai Besi, Cheras, early Sunday morning. Kuala Lumpur police chief Comm Datuk Fadil Marsus said the incident occurred at about 3am and was reported shortly after.

Foreign National Arrested

Checks found the 24-year-old suspect lacked a valid Class B2 driving licence and failed to produce proper identification documents. Police said the suspect offered a bribe to avoid enforcement action and was arrested after refusing to comply with instructions. The case is being investigated under the Penal Code and Immigration Act, with a 14-day remand granted to assist investigations.
