A husband and wife have been remanded for seven and five days respectively in connection with the April murder of Muhammad Zakir Fikry Mohd Zainal, a 20‑year‑old man with learning disabilities, in Kampung Padang Lati, Kelantan. The victim was found critically injured by villagers and later died from severe head injuries at Universiti Sains Malaysia Hospital.
Married Couple Remanded
Magistrate Fakhrul Razzi Abd Hamid issued the remand order under Section 302 of the Penal Code. Two other men had their remand extended earlier, while witness accounts raised suspicion of assault. Separately, a 19‑year‑old student was charged in another Kelantan murder case.
