Former UMNO vice president Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein has expressed readiness to return to UMNO if his suspension is lifted. The Sembrong MP, suspended since January 2023, said he never left the party despite the six-year suspension. He welcomed UMNO president Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi’s openness to allow suspended or expelled members to rejoin.

“If they are sincere and revoke the suspension, I will return to fight for UMNO, strengthen UMNO Sembrong and UMNO Johor,” he said. Hishammuddin emphasized his commitment to empowering the party and uniting its members.
