Steven Sim’s office denies link to alleged fraudster in RM10m fraud probe

PUTRAJAYA, March 31 – Human Resources Minister Steven Sim has not appointed any advisors, his Press Secretary Abdul Hakim Ab Rahman clarified today. The statement addresses reports alleging a businessman, titled Tan Sri, acted as Sim’s advisor. The individual, reportedly arrested on March 29 by the Royal Malaysia Police for defrauding the public of RM10 million, is said to have 30 years of oil and gas experience. The ministry urged inquiries be directed to official channels. Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Razarudin Husain announced a forthcoming press conference on the case.
