It was drama at sea with an expensive search party failing to discover the sunk Titan submersible in time. The search party has concluded that an implosion of the Titan submersible occurred. Officials conducted a search on the ocean floor to gather evidence.

Unexplained Implosion

As of now, a formal inquiry has not been initiated as maritime agencies continue to search the area where the vessel disintegrated. Debris was discovered approximately 12,500 feet underwater, a short distance away from the Titanic wreckage it was meant to explore.

OceanGate Expeditions, the company that owned the Titan, is based in the U.S., but the submersible was registered in the Bahamas, while the mother ship, the Polar Prince, was from Canada. The crew consisted of individuals from England, Pakistan, France, and the U.S. They were visiting the site of the Titanic.
