Two Malaysian sisters died in a hit-and-run accident involving an SUV in Klang on May 15. One victim, Wong Yu Chan, had planned to celebrate Mother’s Day in Kuala Lumpur with her daughter the following day. According to her daughter, Tan Xiao Tian, the sisters were walking after dinner when they were struck.

olice have impounded a silver Mazda SUV linked to the incident. Wong, originally from Jerantut, Pahang, had retired in 2025 after running a hardware store. Her sister had moved to Klang for her son’s schooling. The remains were collected on May 16 for burial in Jerantut.
