SHAH ALAM, July 5 – PAS information chief Ahmad Fadhli Shaari criticised the government’s silence over allegations of misconduct, including claims of a “corporate mafia” and reports by international news agency Bloomberg. In a Facebook post, he rebuked Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim for questioning political parties allegedly conspiring to topple him, noting the situation differs from when Anwar was in the opposition.

“Back then, when Datuk Seri tried to topple others, it was acceptable. Now, when others act as opposition, suddenly it’s not allowed,” he wrote. Ahmad Fadhli added that if the government were serious about fighting corruption, legal action should have been taken against Bloomberg over its reports, instead of remaining silent.
