KUALA LUMPUR, June 1 – PAS information chief Ahmad Fadhli Shaari has suggested that Perikatan Nasional parties may need to “go their separate ways” following a public spat with Bersatu. In a Facebook post, he said if pointing out Bersatu’s lack of grassroots machinery is considered “deafness,” then cooperation will be difficult.
Split with Bersatu
His remarks came after Bersatu secretary‑general Azmin Ali defended the party’s strength during a ceramah in Melaka. Fadhli also raised concerns over Bersatu’s actions in Perlis and Negri Sembilan, questioning its judgment ahead of GE16. The dispute followed Perikatan’s announcement to contest all 28 seats in the Melaka state election.
