Law and institutional reform minister Azalina Othman Said said that records of former MACC chief Azam Baki’s shareholdings are not public documents and cannot be disclosed. Responding to a parliamentary query, she said the information forms part of investigation files, personal data, and asset declarations protected under law.

Azalina noted that a special task force had already examined the matter comprehensively, with findings presented to the Cabinet and appropriate action taken. She added that any future developments would be announced by the chief secretary’s office. Azam ended his six‑year tenure in May, succeeded by Abdul Halim Aman.
