More than 100 settlers at KESEDAR Chalil Land Development Scheme (RKT) in Gua Musang are upset after land they have cultivated for nearly 20 years was seized for being within a forest reserve. Residents said they were informed the land belonged to the government and could be farmed, with some already holding ownership grants.

Two companies also opened plantations and harvested crops there. Village Development and Security Committee chairman Hasan Saleh said 122 residents and two firms are affected. He urged transparent investigation, stressing the land was their livelihood since 2008 through palm oil and rubber planting.
