PETALING JAYA, June 2 – Perikatan Nasional chairman Ahmad Samsuri Mokhtar has called on all component parties to run a clean and responsible campaign in the upcoming Johor state election. He urged members to avoid provocation, hate politics and divisiveness, stressing that the polls are an opportunity to present solutions to issues such as cost of living, unemployment and integrity in governance.

His remarks come amid tensions between PAS and Bersatu, though Johor PN chairman Sahruddin Jamal insisted both parties will contest together. PN, BN and PH have each announced plans to contest all 56 seats following the assembly’s dissolution.
